Why do I need a business coach and their coaching?

“You maybe on the right road. But stand still long enough and you’ll get run over” – said someone far more important than I.

But it’s very true. And at no other time in the last 100 years, have we seen as many changes to the way we work, the way we do business or how we grow a business, no matter what size. It could also be said, never before have business owners needed more experience, perspective and forward thinking when it comes to growth or even survival.

In the business world, coaching is becoming a necessity not only for your business growth and success, but also for your business to be sustainable. Business coaching is about helping owners, directors, managers and it’s employees become more effective – and supporting and involving everyone in your team in the process. Coaching influences so many things, including sales, profit, costs, marketing, positioning, employee adaptability, productivity, and retention. It helps you make better use of your time by doing the right things at the right time and having a sounding board to think things through, without the costs of mistakes.

The definition of coaching, in a business context, has the two following aspects:

  • Coaching is an approach to ‘management’ – how one carries out the role of being a manager.
  • Coaching is a set of skills for managing owners, directors and employees skill sets, to increase performance that deliver results.

As a coach, with over 20 years experience I’ve developed and possess these various skills and my efforts are aimed at guiding you, your managers and your employees to achieve higher productivity and positive results for the good of your business.

Every business, it’s owner, it’s director, it’s manager and employees are unique. So I never use a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach in my coaching to you. I operate in a no-nonsense way, making you fully aware of what needs work and what is positive. And I only work with people who want to commit to getting the most out of their business or working lives; it just works better that way for everyone. I’ll work as fast, or as slow that is necessary, and everything that we work on, is your decision. For coaching to work the client always needs to see the what, the when, the where, the how and most importantly, the why.
